Andrea Schneider

Biography

Andrea Schneider is Head of Directorate Policy Planning and Innovation. She joined the Office of Germany’s Federal Chancellor, Angela Merkel in 2007 as Deputy Head of the Staff for Policy Planning. Her areas of work are the development and implementation of strategic innovation projects with an emphasis on anticipatory politics (Strategic Foresight), effectiveness and evidence-based politics (Citizen-oriented Government), dialogue with citizens and participation of citizens (Chancellor’s National Dialogue on Germany’s future, Government dialogue on wellbeing in Germany, Dialogue on Europe’s Future) as well as citizen- and business-oriented administration (better regulation, bureaucracy reduction, government modernisation).
